September is going to be an exciting month in Denmark. Drummer extraordinaire Rodney Green is flying over from New York to join us for our Art Blakey Tribute tour. He has been to Denmark many times in the past, but not with a Blakey Tribute. 

The rest of the band is the usual suspects here featuring Jesper Riis (tpt), Karl-Martin Almqvist (sax), Soren Moller (pno), and Kristin Korb (b / voc). Soren Moller’s arrangements bring a fresh outlook to the standard Jazz Messengers repertoire. I’ve even thrown in vocals to change the texture and bring a new focus to some of my Wayne Shorter and Cedar Walton favorites. Rodney is going to set these arrangements on fire!
