There are people that come into your life at various moments to give you a hand, guidance, or an idea that carries you well beyond your next phase of life. Bert Turetzky has been one of those guys for me. I studied with him at the University of California, San Diego. At 85 (this Wednesday), he’s still playing and inspiring. George Varga at the The San Diego Union Tribune has written a nice tribute to him.
